Gas tiki torches
Find
out about the benefits of gas tiki torches compared
to their basic bamboo tiki torch counterpart.
Gas tiki torches
There are multiple benefits of using gas tiki
torches in your backyard or other outdoor setting.
Here are a just a few of the benefits associated
with gas tiki torches:
• Gas tiki torches have a clean burn.
• Gas tiki torches have low fuel usage.
• They are easy to refill:
o Some propane gas tiki torches
simply require a 1 lb propane gas canister. You
can buy these at both hardware stores and camping
stores.
o Many natural gas tiki torches can simply be
hooked up to your natural gas line – they
never need to be refilled.
o Kerosene and other tiki torch fuel – like
citronella and paraffin – can be very messy
and very stinky. You do not need to worry about
the mess or the smell when you have gas tiki torches
to refill. You do not have to worry about staining
your clothes, as you do when refilling a kerosene
torch.
• They are very economical. This is due,
in part, to their low fuel usage.
• Even during windy weather, gas tiki torches
can stay lit, unlike their kerosene counterparts.
• It is possible to find gas tiki torches
of many different materials. So, no matter your
style, there is surely one out there that will
match it. Choose from brass, bronze, copper, stainless
steel, and more.
• Some gas tiki torches allow you to adjust
the flame height. This can be great for setting
the right ambiance for your patio party or dinner
or date.
• Permanent ones are easy.
o You don’t have to worry
about storing them.
o You never have to worry about refilling them
since they are connected to your natural gas line.
o You also don’t have to worry about them
blowing over and becoming a fire hazard during
a wind storm – all permanent gas tiki torches
should be set in at least 12 inches of concrete
for stability.
o Look for ones with easy flow valves. They make
it easy to turn your torches on and off.
So, before you go out and buy a cheap bamboo
tiki torch, one that requires basic tiki torch
fuel, consider a gas tiki torch. Of course, most
gas tiki torches are going to cost more than their
cheap bamboo counterparts. So, if you really think
that you will only use them for one party or gathering,
it is not worth paying the extra money. But honestly,
do you really think you only want to use them
once or twice? Do you really think you won’t
want to use them every time you are out on your
back patio at night?
